With the realization that there will be a lengthy recovery period, and the educational options for those in the areas affected by the storm will be limited, study abroad providers around the country are extending deadlines and offering financial support to those affected students. Providers have reached out to staff overseas to provide alternatives to these students for the fall and spring terms. These overseas programs provide options for students of all language levels throughout the world. Additionally, many programs do not have foreign language prerequisites, making study abroad an even more viable option for displaced students. In an effort to make this process as simple as possible, providers have arranged for several creative finance methods to extend to those in need of assistance.
